About

I have over 25 years of heritage and arts management experience. This has provided me with a variety of skills and experiences to be able to fulfill a wide range of projects and tasks.

I particularly like working on small projects working with volunteers. It can be easy for projects  to fall behind because life gets in the way. It’s well worth adding some additional budget to include a project manager to help drive your project on and support the volunteer team along the way. I can take the stress of managing the programme from you with dedicated time to ensure that your project stays on track and reports to funders are submitted in a timely fashion. If you would like to chat about this while preparing your funding bid, please give me a call.

I can help you with:

  • project management
  • managing stakeholders and partners
  • managing change
  • facilitation management
  • recruitment, training and management of volunteers
  • recruitment, training and management of staff
  • event management
  • evaluation
  • reviewing your operations and front of house
  • fundraising

Along with this I bring a “can do” attitude and a reputation for getting things done.

What do you get if you work with me? Someone who is passionate about sharing heritage with others, listens to the client and is focused on the outcome. I will work with you to overcome any issues or problems to get the project completed within the time and budget allowed.

I like to work collaboratively as the client usually has the answer, just not the time to deliver it. I will work with you to find the best solution to meet the desired outcomes.

I can use these skills to help you in your current challenge – big or small!

I am based in the South West but love to travel.

I worked with English Heritage teams from the HR and finance teams, to learning and outreach, collections, retail and events.

My first career was in theatre and concert hall management. My last role in this sector as General Manager of The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh.
